With the pandemic finally behind us and people slowly returning back to normalcy (as we knew it), it's a breath of fresh air to be able to talk about travel again. And it's not just us holiday-makers making travel plans again, businesses too are gearing up. Game on. So, let's talk about travel and EDC. A lot has changed in these two years and let's put them out on the table.
But first what constitutes EDC?
It’s loosely termed. Some may say that AirPods are an absolute daily essential. Does that mean these wireless earbuds qualify as EDC? I would argue yes. Hands-free earpieces can make day-to-day life more convenient, better, and even safer. EDC items do not translate to sharp metal blades and tools only. Here, we belong to the school where all things small and portable that makes life easier constitute EDC gear.
So, saying that, let's take a look at some of the everyday gear that makes travel effortless.
GRID Metal Wallet
Metal wallets topped the chart in EDC gear and actually came on top over best pocket knives. GRID has been at the forefront of metal wallets since its inception. It's a wallet stripped to bare necessities in a tank solid construction. The metal wallet is built using premium material and an army-grade elastic band. The wallet, boasting RFID blocking, can securely hold up to 12 cards. Nicknamed the 'Boardroom Wallet' , this wallet has a loyal following of hikers and survival enthusiasts who swear by this rugged metal wallet.
## Ravage Automatic Knife - California Legal
Tekto Gear is known for its line of outstanding tactical knives. They offer some of the best and most high-quality automatic knives at extremely reasonable prices. Now, they've come up with an automatic knife that can be carried legally in California. The Golden State has one of the strictest knife laws and prohibits all switchblades or automatic knives with blades over 2".
Tekto Ravage - For the first time, there's a California-legal army-grade tactical knife that's capable of heavy-duty work. The semi serrated 440C razor-sharp steel blade comes just under 2" and is allowed to be carried legally in CA. It's admirable how much the knife offers in a small form factor.
It's a top EDC knife for most hustlers, and boasts an all-5-star rating.
Shapeshifter Pen & Stylus
Ever wish you could just pick up a pen and scribble on your phone screen to take a note? Now you can with the Transforming Pen & Stylus. It's a versatile writing tool that can be used both on paper and touchscreen. The pen is an advanced 3-part machine. One end is a quality ballpoint tip and the other is a fiber tip stylus that allows you to scribble and take notes on compatible devices. This smartpen also becomes a cool keychain and comes just under 3 inches.
The PICHI X2
Last but not least is this nano EDC tool - my personal favorite that's almost the size of a french fry. Forged entirely from titanium, it's a wrench, a crowbar, and even a high-torque holder for any hex bits you've got. This is a brilliant EDC tool that's designed to replace a clumsy set of screwdrivers and wrenches. It's brilliant, it's versatile and it's tiny - this is a must-have for EDC lovers.
